柬埔寨金边警方查处1个涉嫌网络诈骗窝点

2026年8月24日晚，柬埔寨警方对位于金边市雷西郊区雷西郊分区Samak村第5组Concrete Road的一处涉嫌从事网络诈骗活动的地点开展检查。警方在A01号出租房内发现3名柬埔寨籍人员，涉嫌从事网络诈骗并分发境外SIM卡。行动中，警方查获45部手机和154张SIM卡。

On the evening of August 24, 2026, Cambodian police inspected a location on Concrete Road, Group 5, Samak Village, Russey Keo Sangkat, Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh, suspected of being used for online scam activities. Police found 3 Cambodian nationals in rented room A01, allegedly engaged in online scams and distributing overseas SIM cards. During the operation, police seized 45 mobile phones and 154 SIM cards.

Hong Kong Police Dismantle Online Cannabis Ring, Seize Drugs Worth Over 1.9 Million HKD
Hong Kong police dismantled an online cannabis trafficking syndicate in an operation conducted from August 24 to 25, arresting 6 local men aged 22 to 52 in Tsuen Wan, Yuen Long and Sham Shui Po.
Police said the group promoted cannabis culture on Instagram and directed customers to Telegram and WhatsApp order links. It operated from a commercial unit in Tsuen Wan and stored drugs in separate warehouses in Tsuen Wan and Ngau Keng Tsuen, Yuen Long. The syndicate had a clear internal division of labour and had been operating for at least 2 months.
Officers seized about 7.7 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds and products believed to contain THC, worth more than 1.9 million HKD (approximately 243,000 USD).

老挝万象市警方开展打击网络犯罪行动

8月26日，老挝公安部长万通·贡玛尼赴万象市西科达崩县拉欣村和会洪村，现场检查并指导打击网络犯罪和网络赌博专项行动。万通·贡玛尼要求有关部门妥善保管涉案物品，依法固定证据，同时继续排查藏匿在老挝境内的网络犯罪和网络赌博团伙。此前，老挝公安部专案组联合有关部门清查上述两处地点，抓获2名嫌疑人，查获笔记本电脑、手机卡、SIM卡设备、网络通信设备、蓄电池及其他涉案物品。

Lao Police Raid Cybercrime Operations in Vientiane
On August 26, Lao Minister of Public Security Vanthong Kongmany inspected and directed operations against cybercrime and online gambling in Lakhin and Houayhom villages in Sikhottabong District, Vientiane. Vanthong instructed the authorities to secure the seized items and preserve them as evidence in accordance with legal procedures. He also called for continued efforts to identify and dismantle cybercrime and online gambling groups operating in Laos.
A special task force under the Ministry of Public Security, working with other relevant authorities, had earlier raided the 2 locations and arrested 2 suspects. Officers seized laptops, mobile SIM cards, SIM-box equipment, internet communications devices, batteries and other case-related items.

老挝警方清查一餐厅卡拉OK包间，抓获27名涉毒人员

Lao Police Detain 27 People During Drug Raid at Restaurant Karaoke Rooms
On July 30, public security authorities from Vientiane Province and Feuang District, working with local authorities, inspected a restaurant with karaoke rooms in Tha Village. Officers detained 27 people suspected of gathering there to use addictive substances, including 5 women.
Officers seized 11 packets of a suspicious substance referred to as “collagen,” 23 electronic cigarettes, half a bottle of mixed coffee and 1 packet of ketamine.

缅甸查获价值超79亿缅元毒品

8月22日晚11时30分，缅甸警方在Thar Si镇区Kywe Taw Son村附近拦截1辆汽车，查获兴奋剂药片528万片，价值约79.2亿缅元（折合约377万美元），抓获2名嫌疑人。据调查，这批药片从东枝运往仰光，指使者为Aung Pan镇3号街区居民，目前仍在逃。

Drugs Worth Over 7.9 Billion Kyats Seized in Myanmar
At around 11:30 p.m. on August 22, Myanmar police stopped a car near Kywe Taw Son Village, Thar Si Township, and seized 5.28 million stimulant tablets valued at approximately 7.92 billion kyats (approximately 3.77 million USD), arresting 2 suspects. Investigation revealed that the tablets were ordered to be transported from Taunggyi to Yangon, and the alleged mastermind, a resident of Ward 3, Aung Pan Town, remains at large.

Over 1 Million Methamphetamine Pills Seized in Joint Operation in Bueng Kan, Thailand
On August 26, Thai military and police conducted joint anti-drug operations in Bueng Kan Province. Law enforcement officers intercepted smuggled narcotics along the Mekong River, seizing 840,000 methamphetamine pills and 1 motorcycle. A separate residential raid arrested 2 local suspects, yielding 226,000 methamphetamine pills and 2 mobile phones. The 2 operations netted a total of 1,066,000 methamphetamine pills.

Vietnam Hanoi Police Dismantle Etomidate Drug Trafficking Ring
On August 1, the Criminal Police Division of the Hanoi Municipal Police raided 9 locations across Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, and Lang Son, dismantling an Etomidate drug trafficking ring. According to the investigation, the ring produced solid Etomidate in Cambodia and smuggled it into Vietnam, disguising it as e-cigarette liquid and cosmetics and distributing it through secret social media groups, with transactions reaching nearly 100 billion VND (approximately 3.8 million USD). Police seized a large quantity of Etomidate-containing solution and smoking devices, and froze 3.5 billion VND (approximately 130 thousand USD) in bank accounts; more than 100 users were administratively penalized and sent to rehabilitation centers.

马来西亚警方捣毁5个诈骗呼叫中心，抓获40名嫌疑人

Malaysian Police Bust 5 Scam Call Centers, Arrest 40 Suspects
From August 18 to 25, police in Malaysia's Selangor state carried out law enforcement operations, busting 5 scam call centers and arresting 40 suspects allegedly involved in love scams, phone scams and adult video subscription scams, including 37 foreign nationals. During the operations, police seized hundreds of mobile phones, computer sets, laptops, routers, vehicles and a number of books believed to contain scam scripts, among other items related to the cases, with a total value of about 165,000 MYR (approximately 40,949 USD).
Police said the scam groups had begun operating independently since the middle of this year. They rented residential premises, including condominiums, bungalows and terrace houses, to carry out criminal activities and avoid detection by law enforcement authorities, mainly targeting victims overseas. All the suspects worked as customer service operators at the scam call centers. Preliminary investigations found that the groups had adopted a new modus operandi, using police identification cards and photographs from foreign countries to impersonate law enforcement officers and deceive victims.
In the first operation, conducted in Sungai Buloh on August 18, police arrested 10 foreign men suspected of impersonating police officers and carrying out phone scams targeting Japanese nationals. In the second operation, conducted in Bukit Rimau on August 19, police busted a scam gang that carried out adult video subscription scams through a website, mainly targeting Chinese nationals.
In the third operation, conducted in Kajang on August 20, police arrested 3 Malaysian men and 4 foreign men. The gang allegedly used the LINE application and "Swapface" technology to carry out phone scams targeting Japanese nationals. In the fourth and fifth operations, conducted in Sungai Buloh and Subang Jaya on August 24 and 25 respectively, police busted scam groups that used QQ and Telegram applications to carry out love scams, with victims mainly from Hong Kong SAR, China and China's Taiwan region.
